Terry Dowdy Pastor Family: Wife—Madeline, Children—Rebecca (24) & Sean (37), Daughter-in-law— Jill, Grandchildren—Gretta & Thatcher, Step-Daughters—Jen & Jamie Favorite Movie: The Matrix (while eating popcorn drenched in real butter!) My Passion: At home I love to garden and cook with my wife. Professionally, it’s helping people discover the depths of the scripture’s message for their own lives. On my ipod: Sade, David Arkenstone, Rod Stewart, and Carole King to name a few. Things that amaze me: When you stand on a Texas beach at sunrise and look across the water and you see the first rays of sunlight. If you sit down the sun disappears, stand again and you see it; sit again and it disappears! And seeds sprouting still amaze me. Captain Hook, before he had a hook for a hand, was called: Mister Hook? |

Randy Nettles Worship Leader Family: I’m married to a wonderful woman, Elizabeth, who is God’s perfect provision for me (and I hope I am that for her). Our son, Doug is 18, and our twins, Kate & John are 12. Favorite Movie: Diner, it’s an awesome “coming of age” guy movie—plus it has the best soundtrack, EVER! It’s’ even better with a bag of Peanut M&M’s — after the buttered popcorn, of course! My Passion: It’s a toss-up. Live life abundantly (in general)...and being in Contemporary Praise & Worship (preferably with a guitar in my hands), using the gifts and talents that God gave me to inspire the lives of others with the joy of Christ! I do find that they are both very much tied to each other. On my ipod: Well today…it’s Third Day, Mercy Me, Audio A, Chris Tomlin, Bruce Springsteen, and Alan Jackson. Things that amaze me: That God would be able to use the likes of me to accomplish anything for His glory...His unconditional love, forgiveness, and grace are still amazing to me every day! Captain Hook, before he had a hook for a hand, was called: Mr. Hook—Losing his hand and becoming a captain of a pirate ship was jus the fulfillment of his destiny! |
